Allah will not call you to account for your unintentional oaths, but He will call you to account for deliberate oaths. So the expiation for it is feeding ten needy people with the average of what you feed your own families, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. But whoever cannot afford that, then (he must) fast for three days. That is the expiation for your oaths when you have sworn. But guard your oaths. Thus Allah makes clear to you His verses so that you may be grateful.
Kaffara
The concept of Kaffara represents a way to seek redemption and forgiveness for actions that may have violated religious obligations. Kaffara is a form of expiation or atonement, allowing individuals to rectify a mistake, whether it is a missed fast, broken oath, or any other violation of religious duties. It is a means of purifying oneself and seeking forgiveness from Allah, as well as a way to provide for those in need. Kaffara is not just a religious obligation but an opportunity to show compassion, restore balance, and demonstrate a deep sense of responsibility.
At POB Trust, we recognize the importance of Kaffara as a spiritual journey and a way to contribute to the well-being of others. We are here to help guide you through the process of fulfilling your Kaffara obligation in a meaningful way, ensuring that your acts of atonement bring relief to both your soul and the lives of others.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.

• If a person deliberately breaks a fast during Ramadan without a valid reason, they must either:
• Free a slave (if applicable), OR
• Fast for two consecutive months, OR
• Provide financial compensation to the victim’s family (Diyya), unless they choose to forgive.

• If a person deliberately breaks a fast during Ramadan without a valid reason, they must either:
• Offer a sacrifice (such as a sheep or goat), OR
• Feed six needy people, OR
• Fast for three days.

• If a person makes a promise to Allah and is unable to fulfill it, they must perform Kaffara, which follows the same rules as breaking an oath.
• Immediately pay the due amount, AND
• Give additional charity as repentance, based on their capacity.

By donating your Kaffara to POB Trust, you directly contribute to the well-being of the most vulnerable members of society. POB Trust is committed to helping those who are often left behind, including low-income families, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities. Your Kaffara helps restore vision, empower individuals, and change lives.

These efforts continue to benefit individuals long after the donation is made.

The amount of Kaffara required depends on the action being atoned for. For fasting, if you intentionally break your fast, you must either fast for 60 consecutive days or feed 60 poor people if you're unable to fast due to health reasons. For oaths, the compensation is typically feeding 10 poor people or providing them with clothing, or alternatively, fasting for three consecutive days. In cases of unintentional harm, Kaffara may involve a monetary donation or contributing to a charitable cause based on the severity of the situation. At POB Trust, we ensure that your Kaffara donation directly supports life-saving treatments and support services for those in need, fulfilling both your religious obligation and making a tangible impact on the lives of others.
